Local Information

Cape Fear REALTORS® is closely monitoring the COVID-19 outbreak affecting our state and nation and the implications for our region. Your Association leadership’s top priority is the health and safety of our employees, members, tenants and other visitors to the Terraces on Sir Tyler location. There are several measures we’re taking to ensure we manage to safely get through this situation while continuing to serve our community effectively.

In response to the growing public health concern regarding the COVID-19 virus, Cape Fear REALTORS® is taking the precautionary step to postpone or move to online attendance for all events, meetings and activities thru Wednesday, April 15th. If you are registered for an event or class between now and April 15, staff will contact you with updated session dates or remote participation instructions.

This decision is based on subsequent announcements from state and local authorities' and out of an abundance of caution for the safety and well-being of our REALTOR® community.

Stay-at-Home Guidelines:
Recently, Governor Roy Cooper announced the implementation of Stay at Home Orders to minimize the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. This Executive Order requires NC residents to remain in their homes unless they are engaging in designated permitted activities deemed necessary to the public, health, safety and welfare of the state and its economy. You can find the full text of the order here.

Officials recommend that members of the real estate industry refrain from face-to-face real estate practices, unless deemed absolutely essential, until the Stay at Home Orders are lifted.
